Help Files broken

Bob

Office 2k installation on Win2kPro machine - Office help
files broken and don't repair on re-installation. To be
more specific, the links that normally appear under a
particular help topic (e.g. 'See Also' ) are all broken -
no icon/text, and link is un-usable. After investigation,
note that office help files are compiled html files and
most (if not all) broken links employ the HTML Help
control. Guestimating where the problem may lie - since
the office re-install and (separate) repair attempts did
not fix the problem - also attempted to repair IE which
did not fix the problem. Ran the latest SP for Win2k
which is a security release for addressing the HTML Help
control, and still no solution. Have heard of this issue
before, but unable to resolve - any reasonable solution
will be entertained.

Thanks in advance,
Bob H.

You may be able to fix the problem by installing Microsoft Critical
Update 811630, which is available from this page:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=811630

This will install the latest versions of the components required to
view HTML Help files.
