Help - how can I configure Project Server 2003 without using Project Web Access

Hi

I'm have very basic skills at setting up servers, and I'm trying to set
up a Project Server 2003 so that our project managers can use it via MS
Project Proffessional 2003. I want to have the ability to share
resources and level resources across multiple project plans and have
the ability to integrate with Outlook. I do not currently care about
developer usage.

I have already set up
SQL Server 2005
Sharepoint services
Project Server 2003

I have been told that I do not need Project Web Access and that I can
just integrate Project with Project Server. However, I cannot seem to
integrate Project with Project Server 2003 and the installation
instructions are now saying to set up accounts/permissions using Web
Access - is there any other way or do I need to now buy Web Access?

Thanks for the help.

Project Web Access is the Web-based interface to Project Server. PWA is
needed by the Project Server administrator, your executives, your team
members, your project managers, and your resource managers. You do not have
to pay extra for it; it is included with your purchase of Project Server.
People access PWA by launching the Internet Explorer software and then
entering the URL of your Project Server instance.

Given your lack of experience with the software, and your faulty
assumptions, I would strongly recommend that you obtain documentation,
books, or training on Project Server the the following FAQ:

Hope this helps.

Dale,

Thank you - for your prompt reply. It seems that I do have a lot to
learn about this application and will look into training.

Again thanks

You are more than welcome, my friend! I believe that training will save you
lots of time and frustration along the way. Perhaps you will take one or
more of our classes, virtually or in-person, and learn from the best! :)
