HELP!! How can i undo a synchronisation with outlook 2003?

my PDA had to be hard reset. i restored it to a state before the reset with a
3rd party program. some data was restored. i sychronised it with outlook 2003
hoping get all my data back.

i remember setting the rules to "always replace item on the device".

however, to my horror after the synchronisation, i find that the contacts
list in my desktop outlook has been set to that of my PDA(which was in a
state a few months back)! i have lost my new contacts!!

is there anyway i can restore my synchronisation? or any hidden folder that
outlook stores the synchronisation data of past syncs? can anyone please
help!!! very desperate!!
