HELP .. how do I get rid of email toolbar in Word?

R

Richard White

I've been sent a document. When I open it in Word (OfficeXP version), it has an email toolbar.

I can't see how to close / get rid of this toolbar!!!!!

It's taking up so much of the screen !

It doesn't seem to be one of the normal tool bars like Formating, Mail merge.
There's no View option or Edit option or ANYTHING AT ALL that I can see anywhere that relates to
this sodding tool bar.

How do I get rid of it please????

Many thanks

Maybe some spyware will rid you of it. I hope the document was from someone you
trust.

It's not spyware. You have Outlook set to use Word to read and send
email documents. Go into Outlook (Tools, Options, Mail Format) and turn
it off.

courtney sends....

Hi Richard,

You can, sort of, but it isn't necessarily a toolbar. All you did was
toggle on the view of the email header. If it happens again, locate
the "E-mail' icon in the toolbar to toggle it off or go to File/Send
to/Mail Recipient.
