Hi All, I'm stuck with this probelem anyone and wondering
if anyone else has run across it. Microsoft refuses to
help since the Product ID number "request for help" is
already maxed out (but not by me!) from the students at
San Jose State University I assume.

I am trying to install the Office 2000 SR-1 Setup Update,
but I keep getting prompted for the installation cd when
I run setup. I do not have the setup cd!!!! I received
my licensed copy of Office 2000 when I was a student at
San Jose State University, San Jose CA, when the SJSU
bookstore offered a 3-day check-out for all SJSU students
to take the Office 2000 cd home and install it on their
home computers. There was a fee associated with this for
all students. I believe it was around $30 - $40 dollars,
which I paid. I thus have a valid licensed copy of Office
2000, but with no installation cd!!!
How am I going to update??? I do not even live in
California now, I am finishing college up in Corpus
Christi, TX and am still a student, but not at SJSU.
Thus, they would not give me the install cd anyway even
if I could get back there. Help!

I have the same problem with Office 2000 Pro! If I find
out how to fix it, I'll let you know.

I have the same problem! If I figure this one out I'll
post it here. Please do the same if you determine the
solution.
