Help - - I messed up the computer at work

When I open a new blank document in Word, text is there
that I had been typing on a previous day. I don't know
what I did. I was trying to figure out another program
and obviously did something in getting it to save text to
Word. Can anyone help me correct this so that when I
open Word, there's no text? Please!
