HELP - I need to monitor the number of messages in Inbox of a mailbox without open it.

I need to monitor a mailbox's inbox item, if it's more than say 100 items,
it will send an alert to me.

Is there any tools or programs I can use, so that I can schedule it to check
the inbox items periodically and send out an alert.

Please help
