Help! I saved my presentation as a template!

Ok, so this might be a little dumb. I created a new design template, and
then, without thinking, just went to work on my presentation. This morning,
when I tried to open my presentation to further edit it, I realized that it
was saved as a template, and nothing else.

When I try to load the template, only the background shows up, and none of
the tex/pictures/videos show up (even though they are in the "apply a design
template" window).

Is all of my work lost, or how can I recover my presentation, so I can save
it as a presentation, and not a template.

Please let me know, ASAP.

Open up a new presentation in normal view, open the presentation with slides
in templates in Slide Master view. Then copy and paste the contents (you can
use Ctrl+A to select all objects on one slide) from the master view to the
normal view. Your presentation will still need some editing, but you need
not retype.

Ute (or others),
How do I open up the template? It is saved in "Application Data" and is
hiding on my computer (so I can't access it directly, I can only see it in
the preview window). I can only see the first page of my presentation (which
is saved as a template), but it has my Title and my picture on it, so I
assume the rest of my presentation is saved in the template.

Let me know what to do next.

In Powerpoint File >Open
Choose My Computer then
C:
Documents and Settings
Your Name
Application data
Microsoft
Templates
The pot file in question

Next time save as a ppt!!

Ha ha. Application Data is like a ghost on my computer. It doesn't really
exist until I try SAVING something there. Anyways, when I finally found the
folder (while "saving" another template), I right clicked on my presentation
and sent it to my desktop. Then I got access to it, and was able to save it
as a ppt.

In windows explorer Tools > Folder options >view

Tick show hidden folders
