Help in Subtotal

I have a list containing thousands of data like Product Name, Code
Quantity, Rate, Value etc.

Generally I use subtotal for productwise total and use sum function fo
Quantity, value etc.

through subtotal how i can get Code with Product name total ?

I think i am not able to understand u so please go through m
attachment file.

Hi!

After you have run Subtotals try this:

Collapse the table so that only the Subtotal rows are showing ( clic
the level 2 box usually).
Now you have a list of all subtotals and a blank in your column heade
Product Name. You want that cell to show the same Name as the on
immediately above it in each case.
Select the first such cell and , if its address is D21, put in the cel
=D20 (the cell next above).
Now copy this cell (ctrl + C): select the rest of the cells in th
column below the cell you copiedress F5; click Special: choos
Visible Cells Only.
Now Paste (ctrl+V).
