HELP! Ink annotations shifted in .docx files

I used my new HP Tablet pen to grade 50 student term papers. When I open .doc
files the ink annotations look fine, but when I open a .docx file, the ink
annotations are shifted down about 2 inches, making all the marks useless!
HELP! I just can't have to go through these papers again!
