Help Inserting a line after text.

I cannot insert a line after text. I did it successfully in the two previous
lines, but not I cannot get the line inserted. It wraps the text to the
following line when I click "line" on the drawing toolbar. When the line
appears, it is placed in the next line down and is too short!

Help!?!

Does it help to specify text wrapping for your line (little dog icon) to
something like "in front of text" or have you already tried that?
