Help inserting contact in message (2002)

S

Steve Sweitzer

I'm using Outlook 2002 and am trying to insert a contact
(text) into a message. With Outlook 98, there was
an "insert item" in the "Insert Menu" but I can't find the
equivalent in 2002.

I see the "Insert Item" options under the "Insert
Attachments" menu but I don't want to insert the info as
an attachment.

This is such a basic requirement, I'm, sure I'm missing
something obvious.

Thanks,

Steve

You should be able to find the "Item" command on the Insert menu in a
new mail message window. From there you should be able to select the
radio button to insert the contact as text.

The Item command is also there with Word as editor. Click the arrow next to
the Paper Clip on the Toolbar to see it. The bad news is the option to
insert an item as text is disabled when Word is the editor, even when you
change the message format to plain text. Wonder why they did that?

P.S. I notice you're from naptown too. I work a couple of blocks from you.
