Help! Inserting text in Word

T

The Judge

Hello.

I have a Word doc that I want to insert either a character or blank line
in every 4 lines. I would in other words like to add that text or blank
line as a new line every 4 lines.

Anyone know how to do this? I would like to do it in Word but would try
another utility as well. Doesn't matter if it's .txt or .doc.

Thanks,

The Judge

You could try the following "workaround".

1. If you merely want to insert blank lines in your existing document,
you should omit the next four steps

2. Otherwise, start Microsoft Word with a blank document.

3. Then, type the character(s) or text that you want to insert

4. Press Ctrl and A simultaneously - to select the character(s) or text
that you have typed

5. Press Ctrl and C simultaneously - to copy the character(s) or text to
clipboard.

6. Then open the document that you want to edit.

7. Place the cursor at the start of the document that you want to edit

8. Press Ctrl and G simultaneously. This will open the "Go to" menu

9. Select the "line" option, type +4 and click on "Go to". The cursor
will move forward four lines (i.e. to the beginning of the fifth line)

10. To insert a blank line, merely press the return key

11. Alternatively, to insert the character(s) or text that you have
prepared already, click on Paste.

12 Repeat steps 8 to 11 for further insertions.
