Please I really need some help. The registry entries for my copy of
Microsoft Office have become corrupted and nothing I have tried can fix
them. As a result every time I open an Office application a dialog pops up
trying to run the installer. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling
office, but when I select the option to remove Microsoft Office the floppy
drive clicks a few times and then I get an error dialog that the system was
unable to open a patch package.
I have also tried running repair from the Office install CD but that doesn't
change the behavior.
Unfortunately I am currently out of work and cannot afford to purchase a
newer release of Office. I am still running Office 2000.
I need to know what to change in the registry to fix this problem.
