[help]Knowing the key of a character in a font

Hi.

I would be very grateful if somepeople could tell me how I can know the key
to type a character from a true type font. For instance, I would know what
is the key (in the keybord) to type an infinite if I selected the symbol
font in word, i.e. is there any application to see the mapping of keys of
the keyboard to characters of the font

Use "Character Map", it's a standard windows accessory that everyone
should know about, but almost no one does. It allows you to get to
every character available in every font.

Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Character Map

In my opinion this is not a "system tool"; it lets you print things like
math symbols, copyright and registered trademark symbols, etc.
