My computer froze today, and I had to restart it, whilst my Outlook Express
(version 6) was still open. When I opened it back up after restarting, my
inbox and sent items folders were completely empty, but all my other folders
(I have quite a few), still had all their messages, which was quite strange!
I have tried to import these messages back again, but an error message,
saying "No messages can be found in this folder or another application is
running that has the required files open...."
First problem is, I have checked the folder, and all my folders that I have
created in OE are in there, with the .dbx filename attribution. Also, I
cannot close the program (Outlook Express), because then I won't be able to
go to File |Import | Messages...
I have tried some recovery programs, but they all only bring up 5 messages.
Is there any other way?
