Hi all.
I'm trying to use an application which blinks a LED when an email
comes (by reading the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows
\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail windows registry key).
The problem is that even with a full working Outlook 2003 install,
this key is not present/generated in the windows registry. I've
multiple mail accounts that are successfully managed by Outlook 2003,
but the key (which I read it must be automaticly generated by the mail
client) is not in the registry.
This problem disappear when using Outlook Express 6 (the application
creates the needed registry keys), but not with Outlook 2003. The OS
used is Windows XP Professional SP2 and the office suite is Office
2003 Professional SP2 (both updated from microsoftupdate). Fresh
install, with less other applications installed.
Anyone had experienced similar behavior? Which could be wrong?
Thanks in advance, Gabriele.
