I have my in laws computer with the following problem;
There 2 users on the machine with WinXP and Office for XP
One of them has no problem, the other has the following problem;
1. On startup of a Word application, it is very sluggish then, it pops
up a window
with all of the .dll files under "Microsoft/shared/Smart tag " and since
he has the Tool/Macro/security option set to High, it gives the option to
disable this macro?
The the other user does not have this problem, same everything that I can
see.
I saw an article about the file "normal.dot" created when starting Word on
the user profile but this does not appear to be for Office for XP.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem before?
Any help appreciated
I suspect it has to be with the signature verification for those Macros?
There is a difference in the profile where, the user having problem has
installed , an application that came with the Sony video camera and the
problem arose around the same time.
But then around the same time their Norton Antivirus had expired they had
done nothing about for a little while then upgraded but Norton never passed
the activation or was rejected under whatever reasoon.
In any way I have upgraded now, scan the whole system and all is virus/maro
worm free that Norton can tell.
