HELP! Microsoft word has broken completely!

I recently tried to load a word document and when it attempted to ope
the file the computer crashed and wouldnt let me open any ne
applications because there wasnt enough free memory. There is now load
of free memory and it still wont work. Microsoft Word wont load at al
and when i tried re-installing it it said that a data.1 installatio
file was missing?!?! Im so confused as to why it isnt working!

Please help, i need to do my english coursework!!!!

Did you first go through the process of a complete UNINSTALL -- before doing
the reinstall? If not -- I would try that. These "techie" issues aren't my
expertise -- I'm sure someone else will come along.
