HELP! MSP2007 thinks workspace still exists on publish although Ican't find it on the server

I deleted a project without deleting its workspace. Then recreated
the project in a later step.

At first I couldn't find the original workspace listed in the Project
Workspaces listing at the bottom of the PWA homepage.

After I re-created the project in the draft database from an MPP, I
performed a delete from the published database only along with the
workspace thinking the second time around would zap the old workspace
(there were no errors in the queue so I figured it worked). Then I'd
just republish and create the workspace again. Alas, project still
thinks it exists.

How in the heck do I find and get this site off the server so that we
can recreate the workspace with the same name via the newly vamped
project plan?. I'm now puzzled that I can't even find the workspace
via Site Actions | Site Settings | Site Administration | Sites and
Workspaces.

Thanks,
Andy Novak

i think you did delete the site URL from the Server Settings.
Delete the Site url from this option:
Server Setting > Under the "Operational Policies" Click on "Project
Workspaces"
on that page click on the Project name (which site URL you want to delete,)
then click on the Edit Site Address then from Check the Remove Site Url Radio
button adn press ok.

Here now you can create a new workspace with the same name.

Thanks
Waqas
Just accept it if its work for u.
