Help...My upgrade won't recognize my Windows XP

I am trying to Upgrade Office Small Business Edition 2003 to Professional
Edition 2003. I keep getting an error telling me that it can not find a
valid version of Windows on my C:/ drive. How can I get it to upgrade?
