HELP! Navigation Bar is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!

K

Kelly

My site is at www.streetsmartinvesting.net and I am having a LOT of problems
with the navigation bar.

1. The nav bar is set to display 'vertically' with the theme's buttons.
However; ANYTIME I open the 'index'/home page in FrontPage, the text links
also appear and throw off everything (so I get the button links WITH the same
links in text format too). I have to delete them EVERY time and if I go back
to the index page they 'magically' appear again!!!!

2. The links that show on the left-hand side of my page in Frontpage appear
just as they should with only the four of five pages that I want there;
however, when it publishes, ALL off my pages show up although they are NOT in
the 'preview view'.

I'm ready to throw thing thing out of the window. HELP PLEASE!!!

No buttons here.
Close your web, clear your temporary internet and history files.
Then reopen the web and check.

Thanks Steve. I cleared my cache/history/temp etc. and when I pull the site
the navigation on the left still reads:

Property 4-Sale
Articles
Hard Money
Locating Houses
3-Day Training
Seller-Financing
Investor's Agent
Fast Cash
Legal Lessons
Live Training
Software Tools
Forums
Books and Courses

What it SHOULD read (and what displays in preview) is:

Live Training
Software Tools
Free Forums
Books and Courses
Property 4-Sale
Articles

It previews fine but what I see is NOT what I get and I have reviewed it on
a couple of PC's.

Also, anytime I open the home page (index) in Frontpage, not only do I get
the bulleted links that I want, but it also duplicates them in text enclosed
in [brackets] so that it misalignes the frames and links. I have NO idea
what is causing this. I have even taken the pages "Fast Cash" and "Legal
Lessons" out of Navigation view Yesterday, republished the site (three times)
and they STILL show up.

Your nav bar looks fine, but I found some other problems. Under "Click here
for our next workshop" I get 2 red X's instead of photos. And a red X in the
upper-right corner. At the bottom of the page, before the hit counter, there
is a lot of empty white space.

1) Start by renaming all your file names to remove all spaces in them
- breaks navigation
2) then remove illegal hyperlinks wrapping all the nav bars as in
<a href="http://" target="_self">
3) Check / change your nav bars and nav view , then run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks before publishing all changed pages
