Help Needed in the Worst Way.

We have a database that if I try to open it tells me "The
Microsoft Jet database stopped the process because you and
another user are attempting to change the same data at the
same time". This is not possible because I have the
database on my hard drive now and its not being shared.
Is there anyway to get this database open?
