HELP needed with Office upgrade from 2000 to XP

F

Fran

We have a custom application that does calendar scheduling. On most
machines we have MS Office 2000 but on the newer machines we installed
MS Office XP.

On our calendar app running under Access 2000 the calendar week starts
with Sunday and runs through Saturday. But on those systems we
installed Office XP on that changed to Monday through Sunday. This has
really caused us some big problems between views.

How can I change the Office XP version to look at the week as Sunday
through Saturday?

Fran try this:

Open Microsoft Outlook on the PC containing Office XP. Now click on Options, Preferences

Now click on Calendar Options. this should now give you the option to select First day of the week. Currently it should be Monday but you can change it to Sunday.

Hope this works.

I checked this. It is set to start on Sunday but the calendar in the
Access app has changed to start on Monday instead (this is not an
Outlook calendar but an app written in Access that has changed
mysteriously from Sunday to Monday being the start of the week.)

Nothing else on these systems has been altered except for the upgrade
from MS Office 2000 to MS Office XP. Could this be an Access setting
or does Outlook change everything for the whole suite? In any case,
the change in Outlook had no impact on this Access DB app.

Microsoft uses only one calendar in Office suite so Access, Word, Excel, etc etc uses the same [object] calendar. Programmers will write their own modules but the modules will still use M$ built object calendar. Have you got a copy {or access} to the module written in Access? If so, I suggest post your query to Access Newsgroup with a copy of the module where some programmers will help you out to make suttle changes. You just need to change the order. Thedefault is:

1 = Sun
2 = Mon
3 = Tue
4 = Wed
5 = Thu
6 = Fri
7 = Sat

But this can be changed by changing the Return_Type Variable in Access module.

Hope this helps.
