Help! Office files Doesn't restore

E

Eran

After I've re-installed my computer,
Errors occur while restoring with the Setting Transfer Wizard.
System indicates problems with migwiz and Drwtsn32 with no info to error
reason.

I've managed to Restore a different USMT2.UNC file folder
(The folder created to store all office settings) - So it's probably
a problem with the files themselves. Chkdsk doesn't report a HD problem.
I believe the service pack I work with now is the same as I had in my old
computer.

How do I get the info back from the Data files ?

Any help would be deeply appriciated !

If you totally cleared and reinstalled the operating system for your
computer and you are using the Setting Transfer wizard to expect to get
Office running again, you need to install Office from the source files first
and get it running and activated. Once done then run the settings transfer.
As for all your data files. If you did not save them to an external media
before restoring the hard drive, the files are gone as they are NOT saved
with the settings transfer wizard but must be saved off the hard drive to
another media before restoring the computer. Another reason to have a total
backup of the hard drive frequently.
