HELP ON CRM PLEASE

I am new to Microsoft CRM.
Recently I was asked to have some training on MS CRM.
Tried a week, but when I was asked about the output produced, I have nothing
to show.
Please some one help me on.

1, How to develop a CRM application.

2, What are the installations I need to have for a CRM application
development.

3, Where can I write code for customization.

4, How to deploy a CRM application.

5, How to package / prepare an installer of the CRM application.

6, Is this CRM a desktop standalone application or a web application using
ASP.NET

7, Is there is any relation between a CRM application development and
Microsoft .NET platform.

Please give me some basics to start on and also a sample if possible.
