Help on dragging fields onto a form ?

When I drag a new field onto a form in design mode, Access automatically
brings in both a label and a textbox ... that part is ok ... and convenient!
My problem is when I want to change one and not the other they appear
'grouped' ... they to do appear to be 'ungroupable' ???
I would like to be able to move and size them independently.

You can't ungroup them but you can resize them
independently. You can resize the label to be on top,
left, right, or bottom of control. It is a little cumbersome.

When you click on either the label or the text box both get selected, but if
you look carefully only the one you click on has the black selection boxes
around it. The other one will only have 1 black square in the top left
corner. You can resize the one you selected by adjusting the black boxes.
You can move that item by dragging the black square in the top left corner.

You can also "cut" the label portion, should you want to
move it, and "paste" it into a header, say for grouping,
of a form or report to create a "column"-type
appearance... After this, the pieces move independently.
