Help on PWA View

J

James Coulter

Hi,

I want to create a new view in Project Web Access with the following
features.

1. View contains Assigments for all resources across multiple projects, not
a single project
2. Assignments must be displayed in Gantt style, not timesheet format

I can create a Project Detail view which works fine for one project, but if
I try to do the same for multiple projects using a Project Center view, for
instance, then I cannot specify Assignment information, as the option is
removed.

Any ideas on how such a view can be created?

James --

You can create a new Assignment view for this purpose. Assignment views can
be seen by navigating to the Resource Center page and then clicking the View
resource assignments option in the sidepane on the left. Do know, however,
that there is a maximum of 100 resources that can be viewed at one time in
any Assignment view. Hope this helps.

James:

There's only one place in Project Web Access where you can display resource
assignments across multiple projects and that's from View Resource
Assignments, which can be reached from the Resource Center. Depending on the
size of your database and other requirements, this may or may not be
sufficient for you. You then have the choice of creating the view in Project
or to write your own.
