Help! Outlook (2003) won't start

B

Bobby

Every time I try to run Outlook I get the following message:

"Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience."

When I try to restart it, I get the same message. I've rebooted but no joy.
Any advice? Is it a corrupt PST? Or should I re-install?

Cheers.

Have you tried running scanpst.exe against your *.pst file? You can also
try starting Outlook in safe mode (start | run | type: outlook.exe /safe |
ok button) to rule a 3rd party addin that prohibits Outlook from loading
normally.

Thanks for the advice Neo but safe mode made no difference.

I can't get find "scanpst". Where is it normally located?

Cheers.
