HELP!!! OUTLOOK SHUTTING DOWN WHEN START TO TYPE TO: field

I hope someone can save me the frustration as every time i try to type the
email address in the TO field the program shuts down. ALso happens if i am
forwarding and start to type in the To field or the RE: field. If i go into
the Address book and type in the address there it will take it and work fine.
I haven't adjusted any setting (that I know of)

I would be ever thankful if someone can help me!

Don't use all CAPS in the subject!

Version of Outlook?
Exact error message?
What is logged to the Event Viewer?

Do you use Suggest Names? Disable it and try again;
Tools-> Options-> button E-mail Options...-> button Advanced E-mail
