Help Packaging to CD or Folder - DiIsk Full??

M

Mmeenan

I have a Powerpoint that I am trying to package to a CD for training. I keep
getting the following message every time I try to "package to a CD" or "to a
folder":

"The files cannot be copied to the temporary folder because hard disk may be
full. Free up space on the hard disk, and then try packaging the files for
CD again."

I have nearly 50 gigs on my hard drive, so that cannot be the problem. I
looked in my folder options and tried to changed the amount of space reserved
for temporary files (currently at 1%) and it won't change. I slide the bar
over -- enough to reserve severl hundred mgs, click apply and OK. I do not
get an error message, but the reserved space remains at only 1%.

Is this the fix I need? Or, do I need to make another adjustment?

All the files in this presentation add up to approximatley 10,000 kb.

I would really appreciate any assistance available for this.

Thanks....Maureen

Hm. I've never seen this one.

I'd probably start with emptying my temporary internet files folder and
clearing out *.TMP files on the harddrive.

Also, what folder are you trying to package to? I'm wondering if it's a
problem with long convoluted file paths.

Thanks for your quick response! I had already cleared all .tmp files as well
as temporary internet files. I tried your suggestion of a shorter path by
copying to a folder right off the root directly -- unfortunately, with the
same result.

I'm still trying to figure this out -- I have a lot of these modules to do.
I can't believe I've gotten this far only to be stopped by something so
small. THanks again!

Well, nuts.

Have you installed SP1 for Office 2003? Go to Help/About, and if you don't
see SP1 at the end of the line with the version of PPT on it, then go to
Help/Check for Updates and install SP1.
