HELP PLEASE!! - BASIC

G

Geri

I am in search of finding out how to go about installing
Word 2000 and 2002. Do I have to update my Windows 98 in
order to do so? I have spent WAY TO MANY HOURS online and
I'm exhausted with my simple, yet basic, search. I
currently have Office 97 installed. Can I possibly
download the updated versions that I am in need of? If
not, where would I go to purchase these CD installations
and about how much would they cost? Many thanks to any
and all that reply!!!!! P.S. Be a pal and please don't
refer me to a site that no longer exists - I beg of
you!!!! While I still have your attention, is it possible
to purchase Microsoft 2000/2002 testing software. In
other words, applicants applying for a position which
requires Word 2000/2002 basic - advanced capabilities?
Again, a response would be greatly appreciated!!!! Geri

Hi Geri,

Microsoft Office or Word is not available for download. Evaluation
versions of Word 2000/2003 are no longer available.

FWIW, if you are applying for a job that requires knowledge in Word
2000 then Word 97 and Word 2000 aren't too different.

There are a few interface changes in Word 2002, such as the Task Bar,
but if I were you I would go to my local library or a similar location
and take a look at the application before purchasing it. More than
likely you'll find they aren't too different and you can easily adapt
from Word 97 to Word 2000/Word 2002.
