HELP PLEASE - Entourage SUDDENLY stopped receiving mails?

Robster

Hi

I have been using Entourage with my Exchange account for about 8 months, through both Entourage 2004 and now 2008 and it has worked flawlessly.

Today however for no apparent reason I sopped receiving email into my Exchange inbox.

All my other accounts seem to be working fine and I can still SSEND emails from my Exhange account.

Just nothing coming in.

Both Webmail and Outlook running under VMware prove I DO have inbound emails but they are not arriving in my Exchange email folder.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

You are not alone. I've been down for about one week. Several folks on this
board have offered suggestions, but nothing has helped so far. I've reverted
to using Apple's Mail product, which, bizarrely, connects just fine to our
Exchange 2007 server.

Got mine working again!!!!!!!!!

Went to my Microsoft folder in Documents and deleted everything (making sure I had a backup first of course).

Rebooted and then using Time Machine I restored the contents of the Microsoft folder from the previous day.

All up to date emails have come in and a couple of test emails have worked fine so SO FAR looks like i have got over the problem.

What I would like to understand is what the hell happened!!!!!!

Cheers.

Hi Robin!

A corrupt mail message can cause this behavior. While Outlook may be
able to handle it, Entourage sometimes balks.

Compare what you have in Entourage with what you see in Outlook Web
Access (OWA) and you'll probably see where the messages stop. And
usually, the corrupt message sticks out like a sore thumb for some
reason. Strange or foreign characters or an odd attachment could cause this.

Hope this helps!

Solved mine too, but completely differently (I'd tried deleting everything
already). For me the fix was installing Rollout 1 to Exchange 2007 SP1. I
installed that on the server today and everything started working
immediately.
