Help Please: Outlook 2007 Calendar & Notes questions

I just switched to Outlook 2007. I am using XP. I am not using Outlook for
email but as a contact\calendar program to sync with my phone

I like the calendar being in the panel to the right of my Contacts in the
“TO DO BAR†but still have some questions.

1. There was a previous discussion about recurrence happening automatically
when entering a single event. I am having that issue as well. One user
responded: “Look in Add or Remove Programs for an application called
"Outlookaddinsetup" or "Cyberlink Outlookaddingsetup" and remove it. It's
part of Media Direct
and screws Outlook up.†I looked to do that but can’t find either in my
Add\Remove menu.

Also in Calendar if I do have a recurring date, such as a birthday, it does
not show up bold in the panel on the right (“TO DO BARâ€). I realize I
imported from Outlook 2002 and have had to tweak some of the single
occurrences to show up bold. I tried this with recurring dates, but can’t
achieve it.

Bottom Line: How do I enter a date and not get an automatic recurrence
tagged to?

How do I get recurring dates to show up bold in the calendar (“TO DO BARâ€)
panel?

When I select a new month in “TO DO BAR†why don’t events for that month
appear below?

If I have an event over several days the days are in bold but not listed
below in the appointment listing in the “TO DO BARâ€. Can this be fixed?

Shifting to NOTES. Is there a way to password protect single notes?

I don't know of any applicaitons other than the Cyberlink that cause Outlook
to behave that way. Clearly there must be others, if it's happening to you
without the Cyberlink apps, but I don't know what to suggest.

This is Outlook 2007's doing. I believe that it doesn't show all-dey events
or multiday events in the To Do bar. I don't believe it has anything to do
with recurrences.

My understanding is that the To Do bar shows the next X number of events.
It's not designed to show events in the currently selected month.

Shifting to NOTES. Is there a way to password protect single notes?
