Dear Fellow Visio Users,
I have a question regarding product packaging. I have some Visio files I
created with Microsoft Visio 2000 but I don't recall if it was Technical or
Professional (long story). I decided to buy Microsoft Visio 2000
Professional thinking it would be able to handle both. I googled and found
what looked to be a reputable company to order from (even checked for
feedback from various sites). I called them prior to ordering to "verify" I
would in fact receive Microsoft Visio 2000 Pro versus Visio (the original
company) 2000 Pro. The picture on their website as well as the product
description all pointed toward the MS version (retail box, face with white
background, MS clearly printed on the front) and customer service
"verified" product to be "exactly as it appears on the website".
I received the "package" today and it is NOT the same box as what was
advertised on the website. It appears (although I certainly don't know for
sure) to be a version of Visio (the original company) although I don't know
what version as I won't open the box (remove the plastic wrapping) as I
plan to send this back for full refund due to their "false advertising".
The box I received is dark blue on 3 sides (back, left side, and bottom)
and yellow on 3 sides (front, right side, and top). Other than the small
diamond Visio symbol on the front and top of the box and the company
addressing information on the bottom of the box there is absolutely NO
printing and nothing that tells me what I have.
Do you have the slightest idea what I have received and would I be able to
open/edit files I created with MS Visio 2000?
I have attached the only picture I could find on the web that looks like
the box I received.
I deeply appreciate your input if you can help.
