Help Please...Word 2007 crashes on start up

Help me please... Word 2007 crashes on start up and error says:
"Word has encountered a problem and will close now" ... I have the "send to
Microsoft" and the check mark is in place for "recovery my documents and
restart Word".... if I remove the check mark, Word closes. If I leave the
check mark, then Word closes and re-starts but goes into the same loop
again...
I have checked the other programs, Access, Excel etc and I have no problems
with them, just Word... I have tried to do the MS Office diagnostics, but
that says I have no problems... in the help files for MS Office Diagnostics,
it says to go into the Word options and put a check mark for downloading a
file for updates, however, I can not get to the Office Button as the Word
program closes as soon as I try to boot it.

it was not printer driver nor the normal.dotm but after exploring all the
info on the site you sent me to,,,, I followed the instructions and deleted
the registry key for the toolbars....it worked!!!!
