HELP PLEASE!!!!

I have created a database with Access 2000, (I currently
have small business xp on my computer, but loaded Access
from a disk from previous computer).
when I attempt to use VB data control and connect
recorsource property an error message always occurs
saying, "unrecognizable database format". The database
works and I have opened it on a number of computers.
What could be the problem??

The VB control works with Access 97 database only.
