Help: PowerPoint Viewer 98 for OS 9 First Run Shuts Down Mac!

Hi.
Powerpoint Viewer once worked fine on my iMac OS 9. Now, PP Viewer Mac
98 only starts up First Run, which installs files and then reboots my
machine --but without ever accessing PowerPoint Viewer. Every time I
try after restart, the cycle repeats as if none of the 11 files were
never installed. Please, help! How do I get a PowerPoint Viewer--any
version--to work properly on my iMac with OS 9? Thanks,
