Help! PP 2003 with extended desktop

Hi, I have a powerpoint show running on an extended desktop in XP.
It shows a lunch menu, and it is on a timer and a loop.
The 2nd screen is linked to a projector in the hall. However, when I open a
file or folder on the primary monitor (or check my emails) the powerpoint
show pauses and stays on one slide until I go back to powerpoint.

Is there any way around this, or do i need to buy another computer to use
whilst I use the show?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately PowerPoint can't do this on its own, but you can purchase an
add-in called 'PowerShow':
