Help! "Preparing to install" - Never Stops?

Hi everyone, I have an issue with my computer constantly flashin
"please wait while Windows configures microsoft office basic editio
2003" and "preparing to install"

I uninstalled my trial version of 2007 Word. Then my 2003 version woul
not work. And these problems started. I have researched this all ove
and tried the disabling of the window installer and rebooting, and hav
had no success.

Because my computer thinks I'm trying to install this program, it wil
not allow me to download another version.

I have uninstalled the 2003 I had to see if that would help, no luck.

I have tried rebooting several times. Just keeps Flashing still.

Could anyone please help?
