HELP: Project Server 2003 over satellite

B

Brandon Tran

I would like to install Project Server 2003 (on W2K server) in our
main office and have 7 satellite users to be able to use Project. Is
this possible and it is useable? Our satellite link is 256K.

Putting the Project Server 2003 on site is not really an option as it
would involve purchasing a new server and SQL licenses, whereas the
main office the resources and SQL currently available to support
Project.

Your help and assistance is appreciated.

Also is a trial version of Project Server 2003 currently available?

Thanks,

Brandon

Hi,

You must use Terminal Services to run Project from the terminal Services
server. Depending on the number of users you need to support, you will need
more than one server anyway. There are plenty of white papers on Project
Server to help you define your setup, but it is also a great idea to get
someone who has done an implementation before to help. Tip: actually
installing the software is probably way less than 10% of the implementation
workload.

For any version of Project use public.project
