Hello, a friend told me that somewhere on Microsoft's site
there was a place where I could answer a survey and
receive free software like MS Excel or the Office Suit
just for answering the survey. Does anyone know if this
is true and then where it is exactly. I would love MS
Excel or Office but can't afford it right now and would be
happy to give user feedback (I use Office at my job) or
answer a survey instead of paying with cash. Thanks have
a nice day!

Probably another internet-fed myth in the making. The only context I know
where you get software for answering questions is when you do user trials on
MS campus. This is much more involved than just answering a few questions on
a website :).

You can also get an "evaluation version" of Office 2003 by attending an
all-day Office 2003 rollout event. Try
http://office.microsoft.com/home/default.aspx. The link is about halfway
down the page under "Product Information."

You can also order "evaluation kits" for $7.95 (first kit) and $4.95
(subsequent kits)each from the msft main page, www.microsoft.com. The link
is about 2/3 down the page under the Msft Office section.

Both editions are at least at the Office 2003 Professional level.
