"QuickTime and TIFF (LZW) decompressor are needed to see this picture"

I get the above error on a slide in a PP presentation given to me by a
colleague who uses a Mac.
We had to show our presentation to a Congres!
II have XP w/ PP03 with the latest free Apple QT app.
This happened twice to him he's using MS Powerpoint for Mac 2004

The pict were ordinary jpg files taken from the internet.
he saved it with and without compression. what is the weird bug here
from MS Mac to Windows XP?

Please help!
