Hi,
a colleague of mine is managing a Windows 2003 server with a sharepoint
Project (2003) server. This site is using a SQL Server 2000 server on the
same machine.
He regularly backed-up both the Project and the sharepoint database, but
didn't backed-up the sharepoint config database.
Some days ago he had some problem on his server and lost the sharepoint
configuration.
We have tried to restore the previous situation using the 2 databases but
there is something missing that doesn't allow to restore the sharepoint
Porject server.
The Project 2003 check utility (in the Project resource kit), recognises the
Project database is ok, only signaling that the Project virtual directory is
missing.
Both the Project and sharepoint databases seems to contain everything was
there before the accident.
Trying to follow the Project disaster recovery instructions we created a new
sharepoint site, extended it and connected it to the restored sharepoint SQL
Server database. Then we started the WSSMigr utility that reports 15
projects are indicated in the database, but the utility isn't able to backup
them.
Is there someone who can help us solving the problem? Thanks in advance
