Help setting font change on whole page/site

Good day to you,

I'd really appreciate a little advice here. I have just upgraded from FP XP
to ver 2003. I modified a default theme and imported a few pages from my old
website during a site redesign. The problem is that although I've applied a
new default font in the theme currently applied, and I've set the site
default font, all of the linkbars and page banners still display/publish in
the old font. Additionally, the body text seems to be inconsistent... in
some pages, the new font change is applied correctly, while on other pages,
one or two lines still display in the old font.

What I think I'm looking for is a surefire way to force the font change onto
all existing pages in the site, and force/apply the change to all linkbars
and banners.

I welcome any and all of your strategies!

may You have to remove the old theme completely and then apply the new one.

Recaluclating hyperlinks wouldn't hurt.

Also, any fonts you previously applied by hand will remain in effect until
you change them by hand.

The default font you find under Tools, Page Options, Default Fonts have no
effect on your pages as visitors see them. This only affects the font
FrontPage uses in Page view when no other font is specified.

There's some more information, although specific to CSS, at

Have you explored using a CSS style sheet? It IS best to get rid of all font
tags. They are now deprecated.

Jim,
Thanks for the link! I set up my style sheet, but now I face what appears a
daunting task of removing all the font tags from every paragraph on every
page. Is this the quest to which I'm doomed? Is there a short cut?

I still am having no luck changing the font for the link bars and the Page
Banners... even after removing the font tag for those items. Is that font
specified somewhere else?

Thanks, Jon : )

E. T.,

Thanks for the post! I have begun the process of removing the font tags.
Is there a way to get rid of them globally? I probably have at least 17 tags
on each page! Any ideas on how to set the font on the Banner and Link bar
text?

I found the settings in Themes for the page banner and linkbar fonts.
Thanks for all your help!

Open the page, Select Edit Select All and then Format Remove Formatting
