This is a copy of my original question
is there a way to maintain the subfolders intact when you collapse the parent
folder in the Outlook folder list view?, i will explain:
when you browse through the system folders using Windows explorer any
expanded subfolder does not collapse when you collapse the parent folder.
when you are in outlook and have many subfolders as soon as you collapse the
Inbox all of the subfolders are collapse as well.
Many of our users have lots of subfolders and they refer to them may times
during the day and they have drill down everytime they collapse the inbox.
i was able to find a prevoius question but the answer given does not apply
to the folder list view, please see below message:
View | Arrange By | Current View | Customize Current View | Groups. Set
the Expand/Collapse defaults to always open (or whichever).

Hi
I have many subfolders. As I need all of them I keep
them expanded. But when I close Outlook and reopen it,
those expanded folders are not saved. I have to reopen
them 1 by 1 to find what I need. Is there a possibility
to have them saved so that when I reopen Outlook I would
be able to see all of them ?
Thanks for your help.
