Help text not showing

Help text that I have added to a form field does not show on the status
bar.... so, I tried putting it into the Help key (F1) but the help text does
not appear.

Any suggestions?

Have you protected the document? The help text doesn't appear until you
protect the document.

It works OK for me!
I am using a document which I protected for forms. Both the helptext
set as Statusbar and that set for F1key work.

Of course the form has to be protected for the formfields to work.

Make sure that the optionbutton for the text for the StatusBar is set
to a valid autotext entry or "Type your own" and not "none".
