Help! This Error Message Pops Up

Hi everyone.

One of my office PC colleague send me an email with an Excel file
attachment, this is very common, including Word docu.

When I double click to launch the Excel file, this pops up during the
launch graphic pane:

The font Vivaldi is corrupt and should be removed.

(and a) OK button.

If I hit OK, nothing happens, the file does not open until I click on
the file again; If I don't do anything, I am stuck in the launch, can
only Force Quit.

And after this first incident, the next time I launch Excel, or any
Excel file, or a Word file, I get the non-stop font corruption message,
as if it is going thru' my entire Fonts Library; If I just launch the
Excel or Word app, the rainbow wheel just keep spinning.

Even when I trash all pref files of Office (Excel, etc) and also pref
for Font Book (using Font Book)

This has led me to a numerous problems of what I categorise as eventual
"meltdown" of my PMG5, but this problem "seems" to be restricted only
to Office suite of software, because in the midst of "desperation", I
trash too many files related to Font Book, disabling almost every
system font, that even the iCal icon in the Dock when launch, the
number font looks different and weird, exceptionally thin.

In the end I had to resort to restoring my internal main startup disk
with a cloned (bootable) disk I backup a month ago, yes, that means I
will loose some files, but I am not worried there...

What is more important, is, how am I going to prevent this from
happening again??

Only until it is TOO LATE when I launch the (excel) file??

Then I may be back in square one again.

Thanks and cheers
