Help to re-link categories to incoming mail

I have all of my address list linked to color -co-ordinated categories.
All incoming mail used to come in the colour I specified.
It no longer does, all mail is black.

I have trashed older identities.
I have checked and re checked preferences.
I have rebuilt database. Size 1.79GB
I have an older database in the main identity file. Size 2.94GB.

Any help would be apprecaited.

Check to see if you have any rules running (either under Tools -> Rules or
Tools -> Mailing List Manager) that might have a Set Category action.
