newbie
I'm trying to install Office (XP Professional 2002) on a computer (with
Vista) which has an old version of Office (Win 95). After setup begins and
we put in the old disk and select remove all previous versions it appears the
process begins but stalls, task manager says not responding. If we try to
just install the new version and keep the old one, the computer says that
"setup is in progress" and won't allow anything else to happen. This also
happens if we restart and just retry either of these processes. How do I
jumpstart the setup program or another way to install our new version and
bypass whatever's stalling in the setup program????
Thanks in advance for your help.
